  Getting married in a foreign country is different from getting married at home. There are some additional preparations that must be made and since you will be traveling, it is best to start organizing these things as early as possible. Following, is a partial listing of the things you must take care of:

  • Make sure your passport is valid
  • Have your birth certificate readily available
  • Submit your file to Rabbanut
  • Determine your witnesses for the Rabbanut
  • Get your Bachelor/Bachelorette certificates
  • Register with the Rabbanut for a Marriage License
  • Own Rabbi - make sure your Rabbi is allowed to conduct weddings in Israel
  • Contact a Rabbi in Israel (if you do not already have one)
  • Select a venue and begin planning your wedding
  • Plan your Honeymoon in Israel 

  A Moroccan Henna or "Berberisca"

   A Henna is a traditional ceremony performed for the bride prior to the wedding ceremony. Formerly, it was the wedding ceremony in the arab nations some 220+ years ago. Today, we continue the tradition in dressing the bride, singing ancient songs, and anointing the palm of guests with a unique smear called the "Henna".
